Yoga retreats are held once a quarter at House on the Hill. These days are crafted to be a moment for mindfulness and connection with likeminded people including a lunch. Enquire directly about when the next Yoga retreat is planned.
Can my dogs come along?
Your fur friends are welcome to enjoy this haven with you but we ask that they don’t join you on the furniture. Please bring their beds along with you so that they, too, can have a comfortable stay. A small deposit will be required in the event that extensive cleaning is required.
Please note, there are resident dogs on the property and there may be other visiting dogs. We kindly ask that you use your best judgment based on your dog’s sociability when in shared areas (walking paths etc.).
All cottages have enclosed gardens.
What security measures are on the property?
Electric fencing surrounds the cottages, private security is on standby and the gates are locked every evening so you can comfortably enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces available.
The mowed paths, however, are outside of the electric fence so we recommend enjoying these during the day.
Are shuttles available to and from Lanseria airport?
Shuttles can be arranged at an additional cost and ahead of time. 21h00 is the latest shuttle.
Can I make special requests for my room?
Of course! Your hosts, Mike and Kim, live on the property and will always do their best to accommodate, be it an iron or a helping hand.
Should I expect bugs or wildlife during my stay?
As you settle into the peaceful vibes of our retreat, just a tiny heads-up: you’ll be sharing this magical space with some of our local residents—think curious frogs, chirping insects, and the occasional fluttering bug. They’re part of the charm here and love this place just as much as we do! We recommend packing a little bug spray and embracing the symphony of nature. Boxes are provided in the rooms to assist in escorting these locals.
Where does the beautiful furniture come from?
We’re glad you asked! Our cottages are furnished by Abodery, a proudly South African furniture and home decor brand based here on the property. If you love what you see, please feel free to take a walk around the showroom or enquire directly for a beautiful piece or two for your home.
